Kinetic art is, above all, an utopia: to bring art to life. In fact,  thanks to the influence it had on society, as a source of inspiration in sectors as diverse as the fashion industry, the architectural creation, the world of media and creating graphics, it was very close to achieve that  goal. At the root of this utopia existed a crucial event: the exhibition Le Mouvement, at the Galerie Denise Rene in April 1955. This catalog, in addition to documenting this moment, allows a comprehensive understanding of its impact in the international and national arena through texts of Arnauld Pierre, Emmanuel Guigon and Pedro Lapa. The book includes reproductions of all works on display (about 70), documentary pictures, a chronology and biographies of the artists involved.
